Reporting to the Programme Team Lead, the Programme and Administrative Associate supports office operations and programme activities through standard administrative processes, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
The role promotes a client-oriented, results-driven approach, working closely with Operations, Programme staff, and project teams to ensure effective service delivery and the resolution of administrative and programme issues.
Provide administrative support in preparing programme work plans, budgets, and proposals
Support routine delivery and reporting of programme activities and finances
Assist in programme/project audits and implementation of audit recommendations
Collect, compile, and analyze data for documents, reports, and guidelines
Create projects in Atlas and manage budget revisions and project status
Monitor programme/project finances and prepare periodic financial reports
Review financial reports and prepare vouchers
Maintain expenditure control systems and post transactions in Atlas
Process requisitions, goods receipts, and cost-recovery bills
Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, events, and missions
Manage travel arrangements for Programme Teams
Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and public information content
Liaise with high-level officials on administrative matters

Completion of secondary education is required
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years of experience in administration or programme support
Experience working with multiple office software systems
Experience within the UN system is an asset
Experience supporting teams
Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required
