Local Intern Operations UNFPA March 2026, UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) – March 2026
UNFPA is seeking candidates who can transform, inspire, and deliver high-impact and sustained results. The organization is looking for interns who demonstrate excellence in managing resources and are committed to achieving outstanding programme results.
Under the guidance of the UNFPA Representative and supervision of the Procurement and Logistics Officer, the intern will support efficient records management systems and contribute to strengthening the country office knowledge base.

The Intern will support operations in procurement, administration, HR, finance, and office management to ensure smooth office functioning and programme delivery.
Prepare documents for customs clearance of goods
Verify inventories and prepare inspection reports
Coordinate procurement meetings and vendor payments
File procurement documents properly
Monitor procurement of office supplies
Prepare official documents (visas, permits, etc.)
Support data collection for reporting
Assist in asset management and recruitment planning
Track staff training completion
Ensure proper categorization of stored materials
Report expired or unused items
Manage disposal of unnecessary materials
Prepare supply projections and SOPs
Manage VAT claim processes
Reconcile VAT records and invoices
Prepare documents for TRA submission
Follow up on VAT refunds
Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme
Enrolled in a postgraduate programme
Recently graduated (within one year)
Enrolled in a professional trainee programme
Minimum qualification:
Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Procurement, or Business Administration
Fluency in English and Kiswahili
Strong analytical and writing skills
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Ability to work in multicultural environments
Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
Interns will gain:
